Feminine Geometrie

Geometric prints are huge.  Especially in gorgeous neutral tones.

I never really claimed to be a trendsetter, but I’ve been noticing a lot of things I’d consider “my style” are coming into the limelight.

I dig geometric patterns mixed with feminine silhouettes, and you should, too.

Evidence that I am not making this up: My printmaking projects last spring centered around the comfort I find in creating repeat patterns, especially those in the granny-square blankets like the one below.

Anyway, I would really like to call attention to this fall’s ready-to-wear collections.  I especially love Rodarte’s collection. (I don’t think there has been something of Rodarte that I have not loved, though.)  Aside from the beautiful patterns, I notice the silhouettes are actually wearable!

I love the neutral tones mixed with strong shapes.  It keeps things wearable while still looking cutting-edge.  I think I would actually wear some of these pieces and not have people staring at me like I am an alien.

And that ladies, is fashion I can live for.

(If only I were taller than 5’3”.)
